With its smooth handling and range of premium standard offerings, the 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan is a reliable compact SUV that makes a statement wherever you take it. Nimble Performance
The latest generation of the Tiguan boosts its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine to 201 horsepower, up from 184 on previous models. A 170-pound weight reduction also helps improve fuel economy and acceleration, maintaining the Tiguan’s sporty handling. For towing, the SUV can handle 1,500 pounds on standard front-wheel drive, and 1,800 pounds on available all-wheel drive. (The SEL R-Line comes standard with all-wheel drive.)
Updated Design
The 2025 Tiguan has been fully redesigned, showcasing a powerful exterior and a comfortable, more spacious interior. New standard 17-inch alloy wheels, slimmer LED headlights, and silver anodized roof rails complement a powerful shoulder line formed by a curved undercut above the vehicle’s front fender, giving it a more athletic appearance. A rear spoiler, side flow elements, and air curtains boost aerodynamics.
Inside, you’ll find a refreshed cabin with more convenient storage options. The gear selector has moved to the steering column, leaving room for a spacious 7.6-liter center console. There’s plenty of space for cargo, too, thanks to 60:40 split-fold rear seats and an under-floor storage solution with smart floor. A leatherette steering wheel, new embossed cloth seats, and a framed rearview mirror add to the premium feel of the Tiguan’s interior.
Advanced Technology
VW’s next-generation Digital Cockpit Pro system comes standard on a 10.2-inch high-definition screen, offering important navigation and vehicle information at a glance. A new 12.9-inch central infotainment system features natural voice control and a Driving Experience Dial for convenient access to volume and driving mode controls. Other standard features include a seven-speaker sound system, four USB-C fast-charging ports, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Bluetooth, and wireless charging.
Higher trims add a new Atmospheres feature to the Driving Experience Dial, allowing you to control the ambience inside your Tiguan through synchronized lighting and audio settings. Choose from five presets or a customizable option with 10 lighting colors to choose from.
Robust Safety
Multiple IQ.Drive driver assistance features come standard on all trims, including forward-collision warning, active blind spot monitor, rear traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and more. With Emergency Assist, your Volkswagen can even help you out with semi-automated assistance during a medical emergency. Light assist and parking distance control also now come standard.
